  • Introduction: Li graduated from Luxun Academy of Fine Arts in 1964. He studied poetry, piano, calligraphy, and painting from his father Li Yueqiu. He is a professor and a graduate tutor of the Luxun Academy of Fine Arts, a specially appointed reviewer of the painting section of the China Caring for the Next Generation Engineering Committee by the Ministry of Culture, The Ministry of Education. He has participated in many domestic exhibitions at all levels and held joint exhibitions and solo exhibitions. His works have been displayed in Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Mongolia, North Korea, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Morocco, Spain, and many other countries. His works have been collected by collectors from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Belgium, Britain, Canada, and the Americans.
  • Notable accomplishments: He won the "China-Japan Modern Ink Painting Exhibition" excellent work award in 1987 for his breakout work "outlook", and won the "China-Japan-Korea Seoul International Painting Festival" excellent work award in 1989 for "Sea Love". "Blood in the East" won the silver medal in the "Chinese Painting Exhibition Commemorating the 60th Anniversary of the September 1st and 8th Incident" by the China Artists Association in 1991. He was included in "Who's Who of Contemporary Chinese Artists", "Yuan Wang", "Expo of Famous Works of Chinese Art and Calligraphy Circles" (Volume 1), etc. He won the International Cultural Exchange Honor Award in 1993. His works have been selected into the "National Famous Painters Exhibition" and "Eternal Witness: Lugou Bridge 1937" has been selected by the Ministry of Culture, the Chinese Federation of Literary & Art Associations, and the Chinese Artists Association. He joined in an exhibition commemorating the 50th anniversary of the victory of the Anti-Japanese War. Ge participated in an exhibition sponsored by Renmin University of China's Art Institute called "Don't Forget National Humiliation". In 1996, "Heroic" was selected for the "Exhibition of Famous Contemporary Chinese Flower and Bird Painters". In 1997, he was invited to give lectures in Japan. In 2008, Flying and National Treasures (cooperating with his wife, Professor Wang Jingzhi) were indexed by the Olympic Arts Conference. In 2011, seven works including "Orchid" and "Voice of China" were included in the large-scale art commemorative album of "One Hundred Years of Xinhai. Grand Ceremony of Masters". (Volume 1) He also wrote "The Collection of Modern and Contemporary Chinese Masters · Li Rongguang" and "The New Sound of the National Qin · Li Rongguang's Composing and Creating Qin Songs".
  • Professional memberships and appointments: Li Rongguang is a member of the Chinese Artists Association, an honorary consultant of the Guqin Professional Committee of the Chinese National Orchestral Society, a consultant of the China Tongze Academy of Painting and Calligraphy. He is also an honorary Fellow of the Royal Academy of Arts.
