Introduction: Dong is the Director and Professor of the Institute of Calligraphy Art, Shenyang Normal University. He is famous for being a renowned calligrapher, poet, and scholar. He is regarded as a national-level expert with outstanding contributions. He is well-known locally and abroad for his achievements and his unique artistic creations.
Professional memberships and appointments: Dong is a member of the Central Committee of the National Revolutionary Committee, deputy chairman of the Liaoning Provincial Committee of the National Revolutionary Committee, and member of the Standing Committee of the Liaoning Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. He is a vice-chairman of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, a second director of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, a director of the Liaoning Provincial Writers Association, a vice-chairman of the Liaoning Provincial Calligraphers Association, a vice-chairman of the Shenyang Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and the chairman of the Shenyang Calligraphers Association.

Painting Description: The idiom "The Goddess Scattering Flowers" alludes to the Mother Earth of the West in Chinese mythology. The term "Tiannu scattered flowers" originally came from a story in Buddhism. The scene which means that the goddess scatters flowers is like heavy snow flying in the sky. As the flowers touch the ground, it transforms into flowers and plants to decorate the mountains, forest, and the earth.
